32 Years of the Holiday of Holidays Festival
And somehow, it never gets old.
Every year, when we sit down to write about the Holiday of Holidays, it means we’re doing what we love most — looking the festival straight in the eyes, feeling its pulse, examining its edges and heartlines, and making sure we’re still true to its essence. Only then do we open it up before you - carefully, proudly - so you can see what this celebration is really about.
The Holiday of Holidays is a small island of sanity in a complex Israeli reality - a rooted, heartfelt, deeply human festival that, for 32 years now, has illuminated the shared life that makes Haifa the city it is: open, diverse, and full of hope.
This year, once again, we’ve cooked up a special Haifa blend - a rich, colorful, cross-cultural feast of music, art, theater, dance, exhibitions, tours, and encounters. For three vibrant weeks, the city’s streets, galleries, and venues come alive with creativity and connection.
After two challenging years, we’re taking a deep breath and returning to the streets, ready to open our hearts, widen our smiles, and celebrate the beauty of togetherness. Through every performance, exhibition, and shared moment, we invite you to rediscover Haifa - to listen, taste, see, and feel its unique rhythm.
This December, the city will once again light up with decorations and symbols of the season - the menorah, the Christmas tree, and the crescent, glowing from the very first days of the month to its end. A reminder that now, more than ever, we all need light, warmth, and hope.
